Why I Built SkillCaptain
My love for engineering began when I built an FM radio antenna just to listen to voices far away. As a 90s kid, I’ve watched the world move from postcards to video calls and I’ve been lucky to work on tech that shaped how people live, connect, and grow.
Along the way, I’ve led engineering teams, built scalable systems, and worked across a stack most engineers only read about. But the part that’s always meant the most? Mentorship.
I’ve mentored over 50 engineers many of them lost in tutorials, unsure where to start, or doubting if they’ll ever be good enough. And each time, I saw the same thing: they didn’t lack potential,they lacked structure, confidence, and a real path.
